My Elmo Dress

Mariel loves Elmo!!  She says, "ell no" - if she says anything.  So, I had to make her an Elmo dress!!

 

Sometimes, she wants to wear her sunglasses.

 

And, she loves to swing!! She likes going really, really high!  We call her "our little risk-taker."

I'm going to be a ...

 

Many of my friends have not heard ... but Mariel is a BIG SISTER and will meet her LITTLE SISTER in June!!  The approximate due date is June 9, 2012!!

She loved looking at her sonogram pictures, but I'm not sure she knows exactly what she is looking at.  However, when you ask where is "Baby Sister," she will either point to my tummy or her tummy.  We put a baby doll in her pajamas to help her understand, and now, she will typically point to her own tummy.  I know she will be a great big sister!

Feeding My Animals

Mariel loves to feed her animals and share her drinks with them throughout the day.
This was dinner with five of her animal friends.

My Little Kitty Chair

I try not to let Mariel watch too much television, but she does get to watch a little.

She loves to sit in her kitty chair with her little table that I think is supposed to be a stool, but she loves it as a table. Also, she likes to color at this "table."


"Mommy, I'm tired and ready for bed."

"Oh, now I see you ... okay, one last smile ... now, back to my show."

She's watching baby signing time. She is getting good at signing various words.
She knows milk, baby, cow, please, thank you, cloud, book, water, more, flower, help, ... Well, I'm getting tired, so I'll have to think more later about the signs she knows.

Showing Off My New Skirt

I'm enjoying every minute of sewing!! Since my mom came and taught me how to make this skirt, I've sewn 2 more for Mariel and 3 for other sweet little girls!!

And of course, I had to make a hair bow to go with her skirt!

She can't get enough of playing outside in nature!!

I have a Sandbox!

This past weekend, Matthew's parents came to visit. Matthew and his dad built Mariel a sandbox out of the wood my mom had brought a couple weeks ago.

Although Matthew's not too thrilled to have sand tracked into the house, he was sweet to build the sandbox at my request. And ... Mariel LOVES it!!
