Spring Break in Clinton and Dunn, North Carolina
Sit back and relax, as I take you on our three day adventure
into Eastern North Carolina ...
into Eastern North Carolina ...
We started our Spring Break trip on Tuesday and headed to Duplin Winery in Rose Hill, NC.
Sure enough, the doctor, who delivered Mariel, and her husband was one of the three couples on our tour through the winery. This winery makes "young wine," meaning that it does not age in oak barrels to remove the tannic acid from the wine. In the background, you can see the room where the wine is bottled and corked.
Sure enough, the same small town where the winery is has the "World's Largest Frying Pan." Who would have known?
We spent the night in Clinton, NC.
And the next day, we headed to Jambbas Ranch outside of Fayetteville, NC.
And we sure didn't know we were in for a treat ...
An older gentleman drives up in a golf cart as we are walking into the front office/gift shop. The gift shop had gifts probably from the 1950s or 60s for sale. From foot powder to fake tiger rugs, it was quite interesting. We paid our $6 admission fees and bought our cup of apples and bucket of bread for $1 each and went on our way.
Our first stop was dogs in a cage. Our next stop was the llamas.
And then it was cages of chickens, peacocks, and possibly jack-rabbits.
We enjoyed the goats, especially the baby ones. Mariel even fed some of them!!
We also saw camels, buffalo, ducks, swans, pigs, horses, and lots of other animals. I'd have to say ... it was an adventure that I would highly recommend to others!!! I would support them anytime!!
And then it was off to the second Bed and Breakfast in Dunn, NC.

A Day in the Gardens
Today, our little family spent the afternoon walking around Duke Gardens.
Spring is in the air!!
All ready for my stroller ride ... but a little concerned as well.
Daddy pushed me around in my stroller ... no matter what the terrain was like ... sometimes it was smooth but most of the time it was a rather bumpy stroller ride ...
I loved playing the bamboo; however, my head got stuck between two of them. But Mom and Dad saved the day!
Love to all,
M3
